<> <> * Kyle quickly catches up to Lexi, having been busy unloading stuff before he could run after her. "Hey, hey Lexi!" * Lexi turns around and attempts a smile, but it's clear she's been crying. "Hey, Kyle. What's up?" You're up. I heard what happened and, dude, that's totally not cool. * Lexi shrugs. "Yeah, well... not much to be done about it, I guess." She looks off to the side. "But I mean... I don't know what he expects. It's not like this is new behavior for me. And maybe my methods are a bit embarrasing to him, but they're effective. And besides! It's not his life. It's always been like this. My actions are never just mine, I always have to consider how it will reflect the family. I'm really tired of it." She sighs and sits down. <> * Kyle has a seat next to her. "Man, that sucks. Also, it's not like it's anything *new*, yeah. He's more worried about the family image than he is of you, I think. But... That's no fun, seriously." * Lexi nods. "That's daddy for you... He's always like this. But I never expected this out of him. I don't even know what he expects to gain out of it." (Wouldn't you like to know o/`) (Two words:) (Action figures.) (Barbie's gotta have her Ken?) Probably some ploy or something. Keep you in line or some shit. * Lexi shrugs. "Anyway, I guess it doesn't mean much anyway. He can't possibly expect me to like this guy or want to be around him. And really why would I stop having fun just because my dad made me marry some guy? Whatever. I don't care what people say, I'll just keep being myself." She nods firmly. Why would you marry him anyways? This ain't the 18th century or something. * Lexi shrugs. "Daddy has a way of getting what he wants. I don't think I have much of a choice unless I get stranded on a planet somewhere." Which isn't outside the realm of possibilities, I suppose. * Kyle grins. "Entirely not." * Lexi nods. "Anyway, this doesn't change anything for us. I can't back out of my job now and Dad can just deal with how I get it done." Yeah. Look, you want to get some drinks? * Lexi smiles and nods. "Sure. I'd love to, Kyle." <> * Kyle gets up and offers Lexi a hand. * Lexi takes his hand and gets up. * Lexi heads out of the train and waits for Kyle to take the lead for the pick of a bar. * Kyle takes the lead and goes for a bar! Bars are good places to get drunk. (You want to continue at the bar, or are we done?) (We may be done. Lexi is cheered up some and double playing the most open, blunt character I have with the most deceptive character I have is making my head spin.) (Heh. Okay.) <>
