<> <> <> <> * Tomas enters! and examines the thing in the rack. It's behind a locked door so it must be important. * Zeke's drones, 4 of them, enter with Tomas! 2d6+10 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Kyle (2d6+10) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 17. <> (The rack thing?) <> * Lexi heads over to examine the crate things. * Tomas plugs his IO gidget into the rack device. * Amadeus walks in, looking around and trying to figure out what those things are for. Because it probably isn't art. < be there, and then is finally still. How close are you to this thing, Tomas?>> (I would have jumped back a step when it started whirring in my face.) << Then you don't notice anything out of the ordinary. Once the device has finished transforming, it sits there.>> * Zeke has two of his drones staring at it. He comments, "Surprisingly dynamic." <> (Gah, totally missed lexi's action.) <> * Kyle comes up from where he was messing with the cylinder-thing, the interface-device under one arm/in one hand, depending on how big it is. "Hey guys, what'cha find?" <> * Tomas points at the device on the rack, "I plugged the IO gidget in this thing and it whirred up and changed shape on me. I think it's expecting another piece." * Lexi floats around the crates and folds her arms over her chest. "Hm... Hey! You think any of you tech-type people can open one of these things?" * Amadeus peers at the thing Tomas unlocked (so to speak). ( . o O ( Box box box box box box box.)) 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Amadeus (2d6+11) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 18. (Who's got the keyring? Tomas has the keyring, yes?) <> (So she does!) (Oh, Lexi does! Even better.) * Lexi tilts her head. "Or maybe I can!" The keyring floats over to the box and she starts moving different keys in to try. * Tomas plugs his IO gidget in the device again to demonstrate for Kyle. A... magnetic accelerator? * Amadeus moves closer. Carefulishly. <> * Kyle whistles. "That's pretty cool." (Uh, wait, did you unplug it, Tomas? I thought you had jumped back without unplugging.) Looks like it's trying to grab somethin'. It's a weapon. It pretty much has to be. * Amadeus moves to rub at his face, then realizes suit, and he stops. "A railgun of some sort." Oh really? (oh no, I hadn't. I misunderstood what happened.) * Lexi blinks and floats a few of the pelets out of the box as she turns to the others. "What the hell are these supposed to be?" * Zeke comms, "Ammunition is likely, if the professor is correct." * Kyle grabs one of the pellets with TK and floats it over to himself to take a closer look. <> You guys wanna take it outside and give it a try? * Amadeus glances. "Possibly the ammunition." I don't think it's a good idea to 'give it a try' when we don't know the scope of this weapon - we could blow ourselves up in the process. It'd be pretty awesome though, prof. <> * Kyle goes to look at the readout. Blowing ourselves up? * Amadeus peers at the weapon. "I'll pass, thanks." * Zeke comms, "Weapons testing is likely to be dangerous. We have seen weapon malfunctions from age already today." Well, uh... we could take it with us? <> That seems likely, given our job. * Tomas picks up and examines one of the pellets, "Yeah, we'll definitely be taking some back with us." 2d6+10 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Kyle (2d6+10) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 16. (Note: Get more Linguistics) * Zeke comms, "It is possible that the other secure section has more weaponry, or something which passes for exos." * Lexi shrugs. "Well let's go check it out, eh?" <> * Tomas leads the way to the next floor. Analytical readout of the weapon. Probably capabilities and deployability. * Zeke's drones are with Tomas! Although one will stay behind with stragglers if necessary. Yeah, given all these, uh... 'Not ready' messages, I don't think this thing is ready to work anyways. <> * Amadeus looks around, taking in everything and blinking a few times. He whistles lowly. When they are not actively destroyed, their equipment remains in good shape. * Tomas walks up to one of the vehicles for a closer examination, running his fingers across its hull. No kidding. That's some awesome metalworking there. <> * Zeke's drones actually climb up onto one of the ships. It's fun to explore! * Lexi floats up to join those drone things. Wee! Exploring! * Amadeus looks from the floor, trying to figure out how they could how they could have made these things out of curvy seamless metal. * Kyle walks around the ships and looks for the basics of a functioning, well... military aircraft. Exhaust ports or propellers, weaponry, and places for pilots and such. <> (GIDGET) <> (I think the two foot wide railguns might also indicate that.) * Lexi looks back to the others while she floats around the top of the ship. "Whatever these things were, they were pretty damn big. I wonder if these things still work..." * Tomas continues examining the ships, "Do you think they're ex-atmo, Kyle?" * Zeke comms, as one of his drones walks over the cockpit and looks in, and another finds an IO gidget hole. "We will have to be inside. I have found there is an IO port on the bottom of one." * Amadeus comms, still from the ground and looking at the things from the outside, "The bottom?" <> <> (Sorry, you said the 'bottom of the device', I was unclear.) * Zeke explains, "The underbelly of these ships." (It's my bad.) Strange. Probably you hook it up, put in a code or password of some kind, and it permits entry. * Kyle shrugs. "As for capable of space-flight, dunno. Whatever they did to make this work might be strong enough. I mean, it's crazy strong stuff, even if it's thin." * Zeke looks at his side. Any obvious list of codes for planes? <> * Kyle goes to take a look, but probably doesn't get anywhere with it either <> (I'm way off in the control room.) (I can't! I don't have any thumbs!) (Okay, I probably could.) * Kyle goes and tries to plug in a UI-device. <> * Zeke comms, "Runic text has appeared." He conveys it with the power of visual thinking. Or just video. <> Dude, sweet! What? * Amadeus goes over to look. "... Okay, that is sweet." <> * Lexi blinks and floats down to said staircase. "Well... " * Tomas whistles to himself and joins the others at the staircase, peering inside. It's just like the staircase in SpaceCop Returns to Mars part four! Even the size of the staircase is right. (You're a bag of tools.) <> (Okay, I think I've hit the end of my capability to remain in the chair and not in the warm soft bed that is right over there. So close) * Zeke has one of his drones crawl in through the top to look inside! <>
